Sometimes 1" threaded forks use a slightly different size crown race size than what comes stock with a 1" headset. It's always good to measure the crown race on your fork with a set of calipers so you can get the proper fit.

For instance, most 1" Tioga old-school BMX headsets that we sell come with a 26.4mm crown race. If your fork is slightly larger in diameter, you will need to either sand / cut / grind your fork or crown race, or simply just get the correct crown race size.

This is a 27.0mm size crown race.
